FROM M4 (London, Reading, S. Wales etc.)
Leave motorway at junction 19 onto M32. Continue to end of M32 following the City centre signs, staying over to the right. At large (St. James Barton) roundabout take 2nd exit - Marlborough st. (bus station should be on your left). Pass the Bristol Royal Infirmary on your right and turn left into Colston Street at traffic lights opposite new children's hospital (Smiles pub on left corner). Continue almost to end of road turning right in to Pipe lane just as road veers to left. Turn left at end of Pipe lane on to Frogmore Street. Frogmore St. at bottom of hill on your right.
FROM M5 (southbound e.g. Gloucester, Midlands etc.)
Either leave M5 at junction with M4 and follow M4 London bound for one junction-leaving motorway at jnc. 19 on to the M32.then as above.
or
Leave the M5 at the Aztec West turn off and follow signs to A38 Gloucester road or Filton. Continue approx 2 miles passing Filton airfield and Post office head office on your right. End of road you will come to a large roundabout (Mill House pub on right), go straight across (2nd exit) following road signs to Horfield, A38. Continue on this road approx. 3 miles, will come to traffic lights with a light shop on the opposite corner, follow road round to left, becomes Cheltenham road. Follow to end and will come to large roundabout (St. James Barton), take 3rd exit (bus station on left), Marlborough St. Pass the Bristol Royal Infirmary on your right; take next left turn in to Colston Street (Smiles pub on left). Continue almost to end and turn right in to Pipe lane just as road veers to left. At end of road turn left, the ice rink is at bottom of hill on the right.
FROM M5 (from the south e.g. Somerset etc.)
Leave the M5 at the Avonmouth junction and follow City centre signs to get on to the Portway. Continue on this road approx. 5 miles taking you under the suspension bridge. Keep to the left and follow Hotwells and city centre directions. Follow Hotwells rd with the river on your right. When reach large roundabout take 2nd exit, St. Georges rd and then left (again St. Georges rd) opposite the Three Tuns pub. Follow road round to right and under a bridge, the ice rink is round the next corner on the left just past building site.
FROM A4 (Bath)
Follow Bristol signs, will reach the 3 lamps junction. Follow Temple Meads signs, passing the railway station on your right. Continue round to right and at large roundabout take 1st exit, Victoria st. Continue on road and turn left immediately once over bridge over river, into Baldwin st. Follow to end of road and turn right on to the city centre, and then left around roundabout so that the Hippodrome theatre is on your right, keep to the right up the hill on to Park st. Pass College Green and the Council offices on your left and turn left just past the Mauretania club. At end of road take a sharp left turn in to Frogmore st, continue under the bridge and the ice rink is around the next corner on left.
OR AVOIDING THE CITY CENTRE
Follow Temple Meads signs from the 3 Lamps junction, passing the railway station on your right. Continue around to right and at large roundabout take 2nd exit towards M32, M4. This will bring you on to an inner ring road. Keep over to the right (2 lanes, keep in left lane) and under the tunnel, once out the other side indicate to get over into left lane and follow A38 directions following road round to the left. At large St. James Barton roundabout take the 2nd exit, Marlborough st., continue past the Bristol Royal Infirmary on your right. Take the next left turn in to Colston St. (Smiles pub on left). Follow almost to end and turn right in to Pipe lane just as road veers to left. Turn left at end of road on to Frogmore st. The ice rink is at bottom of hill on the right next to building site.
FROM A37 (Wells, Bridgwater etc.)
Follow directions to Bristol until you get to the 3 lamps junction, then follow directions as from A4 Bath.
